So looks like ole Neo has resorted to pill popping in the post matrix world. I thought you weren't supposed to take the pills, WTF? And why does he have a therapist?

He was re-programmed by the machines. Therapist was one of his handlers trying to keep him in the matrix.

How do you re-program a human. Neo is not a terminator, which can apparently be re-programmed fairly easily after taking a night class in C++ programming.

The same way they been reprogramming everyone. The whole world is a fake program is the whole premise.
