Everyone in this movie is in their late 20s or older

Did anyone else notice that all the main actors in this movie are in their late 20s / early 30s? Is that part of the joke that they are in high school?

Actually, that seems to be the board's main focus, so they all notice, I guess. It's more about the ages of the actors when they shot the film and not the film itself. FYI:
