Terrible acting, horrible script

Need I say more

reply

but still pretty freaking hilarious. This movie wasn't made to win oscars. It was meant to make you laugh at stupid stuff. And It succeeds.

reply

This movie only succeeds at sucking

reply

Agreed. Stupidest plot ever, but this movie is *beep* funny. I don't care what anyone says, if you didn't laugh at this movie, you need your sense of humor checked.

No Ellespace,

Step Brothers, Talledega Nights, Semi-Pro, etc. Those are the worst movies I've ever seen.

reply

What?? Step Brothers and Talladega Nights were two of the funniest movies ever made. Semi-Pro did kinda suck.

This movie was great and very funny, but nowhere near in the league of the hilarious combination of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly.

reply

everyone who is saying it was a bad movie, really? are you retarded? the movie was hilarious. its a comedy, and it makes you laugh with hilarious lines. i'm sure all of you are just following along with ratings, "oh no, it got a bad rating, so i'm going to assume i shouldn't laugh at it"
GREAT movie, accomplished exactly what it was aiming at. this movie was not meant to change your life, it was meant to make you laugh.

reply

I found the acting pretty good. Funny and entertaining.

reply

I thought for your typical teen comedy it was quite clever and the actors had a lot of charisma and charm, and their characters were vastly different and strongly built (not physically).

Death to Videodrome! Long live the new flesh!

reply

ya.. it was pretty bad... the movie sucked..

Bring back Pierce Brosnan as 007!

reply

Yup the movie was terrible. Terrible acting, extremely unfunny jokes and an all around just horrible plot. The only bright spot was John Michael Higgins as Coach Keith.

If you didn't laugh at this movie, than congratulations because you have a sense of humor.

reply

...coming from someone who says "Bring back Pierce Brosnan as 007!"...

reply

This movie was awful, and it wasn't funny at all. I didn't laugh one time throughout the entire movie. Not to mention the acting was also terrible, and the characters were all one-dimensional. It felt like they were never fully developed, and the actors were just reading a script not sure what they were doing and why the were doing it.

reply

Seems like you watched a different movie or need to have your humour checked.

Most lines were ad libbed so I don't know how they were reading a script.

reply

by "ad libbed" do you mean, improvised? if so, could you direct me to where i could find this information. I believe you, but i just want to read it from someone who had something to do with the movie. a lot of times it seems like the dialouge is improvised, i know Judd Apatow likes to use improvisation.

reply

yes, he does mean improvised. And the proof of the improv was in the line-o-ramas at the end of the film and more improv in the special features. Not to mention the viral video that Eric Christian Olsen did making fun of Christian Bale to promote Fired Up! While he was on set. That's pretty solid proof.

reply

acting was ok for this kind of movie, script was unoriginal, a few scenes were annoying (musical style), but overall a funny comedy. entertaining popcorn movie.
