On related news, which could or would not delay production somewhat --
Hugh Jackman took the week off to fulfill a prior commitment for a 4-day engagement reprising his one-man show on Broadway, in Istanbul.
However, after only one show --

Merhaba. I have a left vocal hemorrhage. At advice of Dr. Kocak Dr Korovin I will cancel my shows in Turkey. Make no mistake, I'll be back!

Maybe they will CGI the snow in? :D
Also, I think Hugh's latest Instagram post may answer your question as to what kind of vocal rest he has to take:
thehughjackman
I can write what I want to tell you Turkey ..... Tesekkur ederim. I'll be back!
Not entirely sure that his latest instagram is a categorical insight on his current health status. He was writing on the famous wall at the performing center ( remember Russell Crowe's cheeky message to Hugh, in writing...and Hugh's written reply?). So, Hugh writing on the wall may not necessarily mean that he cannot talk at the moment. I could be wrong - but since he opted to stay in Turkey till Saturday ...and did not opt to fly straight back to NYC for possibly more expert treatment if his condition is fairly serious... it could mean that he is doing better than what we are so anxious about. It looks like he decided to combine his vocal rest with completing the family holiday in Istanbul instead ( which could facilitate speedy recovery even better)
I am not too worried about the filming pace of EDDIE THE EAGLE. Presumably it is Taron Egerton who needs to film scenes outdoor most of the time. If Hugh/Bronson needs any further outdoor shots ( while "coaching" Eddie) - it won't be at the ski-jump. It is likely that a real ski-jumper will take his place ( nobody recognizes a ski-jumper if he is wearing a helmet and googles) if part of the coaching is to teach Eddie the right techniques on doing the ski-jump. LOL - I guess we won't know how much scenes he needs to film outside until the movie is released.
Didn't they say that they are moving to the UK in April for the rest of the filming - maybe inside a sound stage?
I like talking to you.

If you experience sudden loss of voice following yelling, shouting, or other strenuous vocal tasks, you may have developed a vocal cord hemorrhage. Vocal cord hemorrhage results when one of the blood vessels on the surface of the vocal cord ruptures and the soft tissues of the vocal cord fill with blood. It is considered a vocal emergency and is treated with absolute voice rest until the hemorrhage resolves. If you lose your voice after strenuous voice use, see your Otolaryngologist as soon as possible.
In treating vocal hemorrhage, strict voice rest (i.e., no speaking, singing, whispering, throat clearing, etc) is the only thing that is required.
Diagnosis of a vocal fold hemorrhage is very important because if one continues to sing or talk with a hemorrhage, scarring of the vocal fold layers and permanent voice changes may occur.
Management of a hemorrhage is total voice rest to allow the blood to reabsorb. If an irregular blood vessel is noted to be the source of hemorrhage, in office laser surgery or microlaryngoscopy may be used to remove this blood vessel.

If his condition is fairly serious, I was thinking that staying in his home might be the best way to deal with it. Quiet and restful. Going around a holiday place can also be physically stressful ( too much excitement, too much travelling from one place to another, too much ogling at historical sights, too muchshopping from one stall to another at the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul with Deb and Ava - LOL!).
Btw, there was a news report in Turkey ( again, if translated in English) when he was first diagnosed which said that he was being recommended a two-week rest, after which he could resume his schedule ( not sure if this includes singing). I will look for it - although I would post a caveat emptor on it, because it is not just a rough translation but also did not come directly from his Istanbul specialist. I also think he sounded fairly confident in his promise to return ( and to fulfill the rest of his engagement) because the doctors's assessment may be more optimistic than what we worry about?
Here it is --
For whatever it's worth -- translated via BING:
Jackman's vocal is slated to make three more nights due to bleeding in An Evening with Hugh Jackman has postponed the date for next one the show. In the United States and İstanbul doctor's common decision 2 weeks sing forbidden manifesto stated that sad.
Twitter account announcing new concert date is specified according to the program of Jackman's will. Ticket fees can, optionally, back the new concert of alina will be valid. Famous names will be in İstanbul until Saturday.
Thank you for the updates!
Well that could be true, but Hugh could also be resting a lot in the hotel and Deb and Ava may be spending some mother/daughter time together. Who knows. I'm not sure how much time Hugh has actually spent out and about in Turkey. We've seen the pictures of him sightseeing, but he may be resting most of the trip while his family goes out without him. I'm not sure what he's doing so I just wish him the absolute best.
I think it means a lot to Hugh to be in Turkey and see some of the history. I think he would have regretted missing that particular holiday given the tweets we saw from him, and I think so long as he is responsible and completely rests his voice, the doctors probably wouldn't prohibit him from doing some sight seeing and a little shopping.
I saw the official report in English that you posted. Thank you for finding it! And I saw you highlight where it stated that Hugh is on complete vocal rest right now, so that answers our question. So no talking or singing or clearing his throat until the doctors clear him. But as long as he handles himself responsibly, which I'm sure he will, I'm confident he'll be just fine whether he is in Turkey or NY.
Re: Hugh's confidence about his return: I think Hugh Jackman is one of the most optimistic people I've ever seen. I remember smiling in agreement when Kelly Ripa told Hugh a couple of weeks ago on the Kelly & Michael Show that even if someone gave Hugh a piece of molten rock or something, he'd probably say, "I love this. It's the greatest molten rock I've ever seen!" I'm paraphrasing but what she is saying is completely true.
I've noticed that Hugh likes to downplay whatever he is going through, which even Anne Hathaway said in an interview. He has gone through things that I suspect other people would complain about and become depressed over, and yet he handles his adversity with such grace and remains positive from beginning to end. I think Hugh is very optimistic about life in general. And he is tough as nails! Dancing with stress fractures and never missing a performance is no joke! What he did on the set of The Fountain was no joke. What he did in Les Miserables was no joke. He's a tough guy.
So I have a feeling that Hugh's confidence about returning doesn't necessarily indicate a more positive prognosis than we think. It might indicate that (which would be great), but it may not because I have a feeling that even if Hugh was in a serious car accident and had multiple broken bones ... or even if he had a malignancy and had to undergo chemotherapy, he would still be that positive about a return. I think he's just that type of person. You can knock him down, but he'll get right back up and never give up hope, and he will believe from the very beginning that it will all work out and that he will recover 100%.
I think it is a beautiful spirit he has. I find it very inspiring, and because of his positive attitude, I have no worries about him anymore really. I know that he will recover from whatever difficulties are brought his way. I hope that makes sense.
I found the official statement on the site of the Zorlu Performing Center --
http://www.zorlucenterpsm.com/en/hugh-jackman
17 March, 2015 - 20 March, 2015 Main Theatre / Broadwayshare
Sad news from Hugh Jackman: vocal hemorrhage "An Evening with Hugh Jackman" has been cancelled The rest of the shows of Hugh Jackman, who has performed on March 17th for the first time at Zorlu Performing Arts Center, have been cancelled due to the progression of the vocal cord hemorrhage he has.
Otorhinolaryngologist Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Koçak, who has been following Hugh Jackman's health condition, indicated that they had to make this decision after the consultation they did with Hugh Jackman's private doctor in USA, Gwen Korovin. He said: "During the vocal examination we have determined an hemorrhage on Hugh Jackman's left vocal cord and we have started the treatment. After our common evaluation with Mr. Jackman's doctor in USA, we have decided that it's impossible for him to continue his performances. During this period, using his voice actively may create a permanent damage in his vocal cords. Yet, he can continue his shows after his treatment completes."
Also Hugh Jackman said: "Merhaba. I'm devastated to have to tell you … I have been diagnosed with a left vocal hemorrhage. At the advice of Dr. Ismail Kocak, MD and Dr. Gwen Korovin, I have to cancel the remainder of my shows here in Istanbul, Turkey, at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center. I will remain on complete vocal rest for the next several days. Make no mistake …. I will come back to Istanbul to make it up to you as soon as I am able" in his statement for his fans.
Ticket fees will be refunded as of 19th March The ticket fees will be refunded completely. Refund procedures can be found out in details from www.zorlucenterpsm.com, Zorlu box offices, Biletix, www.biletix.com and Zorlu Call Center 0850 222 67 76. - See more at: http://www.zorlucenterpsm.com/en/hugh-jackman#sthash.fu4SfaW5.dpuf

@RealHughJackman Ciao Claudio! Thank you the awesome dinner from EATaly! We are all still raving. See you soon.

With Hugh, who knows when pictures are taken. He often posts stuff on his IG that was clearly taken many days ago (like when he posted pictures of himself before his haircut several days after I knew he got a haircut).
So unless he posts something that is obviously at the moment (like if we know he is about to perform, and he posts something related to the performance), then I have absolutely no way of knowing when the pictures he posts are actually taken.
One of the pictures he posted with a fan at The River play was taken a month before he posted it according to the fan. So ... who knows.
Also, just curious - how were you able to tell that the EATaly is in Istanbul rather than NY? I really have no idea how to decipher. Some of the fans in the comments said, "Glad you're back in NY." And I know of EATaly being in NY.
I don't think he will be returning to Eddie the Eagle for at least another couple of weeks. That is my prediction. I would be absolutely shocked if he returned sooner than that. According to one of my doctor friends, a vocal hemorrhage is a vocal hemorrhage - meaning it is called that because a blood vessel burst and it is a "vocal emergency" and requires serious rest. The moment that is the diagnosis, the standard is the same - if you don't rest your voice for long enough, you can permanently damage it. If Hugh's condition is mild enough that he can start acting that soon, then by definition, I don't see how it would actually be a vocal hemorrhage. Actors require significant use of the voice, even when not singing. Especially because here, Hugh is playing a coach and coaches yell, they cheer, they speak very animated, they speak assertively. That can cause a vocal hemorrhage in itself (people who have to yell a lot or cheer a lot for their job are susceptible to that). So my opinion is that, if we are going by their diagnosis, then I cannot fathom how he would return that soon unless it is just to hang out with the cast.
Hugh does look good in the picture! Thanks for posting it!
No science to identifying the location
Someone pointed me to his Facebook page, which stated --
Hugh Jackman at Eataly Zorlu Center
And here I thought you could track his IP location and that's how you found out! J/K. I figured you probably had seen something written that I was missing. Thanks for explaining!
I had no idea there were that many EATaly restaurants in the world either! LOL!
Did the doctors let him dance with stress fractures? Or did he just not listen to them? I've had a stress fracture in my foot before when I was a collegiate runner. Let me tell you, I couldn't even walk! God bless Hugh for being able to tolerate the pain enough to dance for that long!
I guess that is my only worry. Hugh is not superhuman, but he does things that humans wouldn't normally do because he has a lot of heart - dancing so many nights with stress fractures, doing so many takes in The Fountain crying scene that he fell over and was dehydrated, pretty much everything he did for Les Miserables, etc. I hope he doesn't jump the gun here with his voice. Just because it seems to be better, doesn't mean it is fully healed. I know his doctors are on top of it, and like you said, hopefully he will completely heed to their advice! Better safe than sorry, right?
According to reports from Turkey --
*He flew out two days ago and headed for Munich ( which likely means he is resuming with the filming schedule of EDDIE THE EAGLE in Bavaria)
*There is indication that he might return to Istanbul in two months' time.
Interesting.
Hugh confirms his return -- hopefully well-rested and in good health!

I'm just hoping he isn't jumping the gun. Not many people would be healed in a week from a vocal hemorrhage. But it is also possible that they are filming scenes that don't require much dialogue.
Will this man ever take a break?

As expected, real ski-jumpers are doing the stunts and jumps.
Also, Luka Plestenjak has done the stunt jumps as Edwards in Obersdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Seefeld.

Thanks! Here are more new pictures from the set:

Also, I saw pictures earlier of Hugh with Deb and Ava on the set. Here they are:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3012350/Hugh-Jackman-s-wife-Deborra-Lee-Furness-daughter-Ava-rug-join-actor-snow-covered-set-Eddie-Eagle-suffers-vocal-haemorrhage.html#comments
Admittedly, I was surprised Ava was with him. I expected her to be in school by now, but it is nice that they are there with him. Poor Oscar. Seems to be missing out on all the fun!
He's carrying a bottle of water in the pic with Deb, which is good. I'm laughing at all the people in the comments debating whether Hugh is being irresponsible with his health by smoking a cigarette after getting a vocal hemorrhage. Do they really think the cigarette is real? LOL. Looks like a set prop to me! I'm sure Hugh is responsible enough to know that smoking real cigarettes is absolutely terrible for hemorrhaged vocal cords so it is pretty annoying that some people think he is that negligent with his health.
Not surprised about Ava being there with Deb and Hugh. She was with them when the filming moved to the SEEFELD Ski Resort across the Austrian border ( See my earlier post). A tweeter who met them did mention that Ava had taken some ski lessons.
Maybe Deb ( and Ava) opted to be with Hugh as he continued his vocal convalescence?
Yeah, that is likely. Perhaps they stayed with Hugh for moral support and to help him with his recovery. Little Ava skiing was so cute!

Off to Germany for 6 weeks as of tomorrow. Top class cast. @realhughjackman @taronegerton and more to follow! Come on Eddie!
A report from Seefeld in the Tyrol ( Austria) -- translated via BING:
Hugh Jackman from Tuesday in Tyrolshare
Hollywood star Hugh Jackman is on Tuesday due to filming for the US sports comedy "Eddie the Eagle" in Seefeld. Thus, a superstar in Tyrol is again a few weeks after James Bond actor Daniel Craig.
The Australian actor Hugh Jackman embodies the trainer of jump clown Michael "Eddie" Edwards, who was known as the first ski jumper of UK in the history of the sport in the Hollywood production.
At the Olympics in 1988 in Calgary, Edwards finished in last place, advanced but not least due to his perseverance after shaky jumps and many injuries to the winning of the hearts and darling of the media and fans. The British young actor Taron Egerton ("Kingsman: the secret service") take on the role of the iconic sports car.
150-Member film crew for several days in Tyrol
After the James Bond movie "Spectre" in January, it is the second international large-scale production that brought location Austria in Tyrol. Seven to nine days is the approximately 150-person film crew in Seefeld stay location Austria Director Arie Bohrer reported the Austria press agency Monday. Both the personnel and the equipment come from Bavaria, where since last Monday in the ski jump in Oberstdorf is rotated. Also in England, filming are provided, the theatrical release is planned according to the "IMDB" movie portal around Easter 2016.
Hugh Jackman has posted an explosive but laconic twitter/instagram message with the words " Wolverine...One Last Time! " and an image of one hand fitted with Wolverine's famous claws! It is a media ( press and social) sensation because he has been the pointman for the XMEN franchise for the last 15 years.
But right now he is somewhere in Austria filming EDDIE THE EAGLE - far from the celebrity-hunting media.
It seemed odd to time that message where he cannot be easily reached for more details.
I wonder if the Austrian/German media has not attempted to seek him out and ask him about his announcement?
No idea! It's got to be a relief to him to not have reporters and paparazzi around much though.
