US release date moved up to April 1

The only official announcements I saw indicated the release date was moved up in the UK. Hoping it's true for the US as well.

That has been confirmed by BoxOfficMojo, which usually bases its published release schedule from official communications from the studio/distributor.

Probably an adroit move for the US release date -- to avoid the stiff competition from Captain America ( May 6) and still be a week behind another blockbuster release, Batman vs Superman ( March 25). Also, EDDIE distributor FOX may have wanted to distance it from its forthcoming blockbuster release in May ( APOCALYPSE).

Thanks, I'm hoping the positive early buzz coming out of some screenings prompted the distributors to have this faith in the film to move it up to a somewhat better spring date.
