It does seem that way. Since it is based on historic characters, we know pretty much how it ended up for Eddie, but it just looks like they told the whole story in the trailer, so what's the point of spending $10 for a ticket?

Even the moment with his mom. I mean come on, that would've been very touching if one goes to see it in theatres but they just gave it away like it was a cool one liner.
The only that's left open is if he makes it or not and you only need google for that, not the movie.
I think some trailers nowadays just go s bit too far and her's a very good example.
