This definitely seems like a film that could win him an oscar the range between eggsy and Edward I thought was incredibly outstanding, i don't know if it's coming out around oscar season or not but he looks terrific
shareThe awards season is in the fall to early winter.
Although there have been some exceptions, movies released in the very early part of the year ( February 26 for the USA) do not usually get awards buzz.
But we'll see.

February 28, 2016 : Oscar awards are announced on Oscar night.
The current buzz for Oscar Best Actor does not mention Taron for Kingsman. The Golden Globes ( which could be a precursor for the Oscars) has announced their nominations and Taron is not among the list of nominees.
