EDDIE THE EAGLE gets a coveted release in China!

Btw, Beijing is hosting the 2022 Winter Olympics so the theme of EDDIE THE EAGLE may appeal strongly to the Chinese market! They also seem to like movies with spectacle, so those ski-jumping scenes will be welcome.

Hugh is also known there -- China produced the highest box office results from the overseas market for THE WOLVERINE ( $ 41 million) and for DAYS OF FUTURE PAST ( $ 116 million).

EDDIE THE EAGLE will have to work hard to make hay in the first week of its China release --

because BATMAN Vs SUPERMAN will open in China with a day and date release with the American opening date of the movie on March 25!
