Feel good movie

I really enjoyed that movie.

I was filled with nostalgia from the 80's-90's were feel good movies stills existed.

Well acted, good comical timing, nice little positive touch.

I though some actions were a little bit cliché and the music was over the top cheesy, but overall I was entertained.

It seems like the feel good movies don't exist anymore.

You know the one like the Cutting Edge, Cool running, mighty ducks.
You care about the character and they are believable.

We need those movies again... and i'm not saying remake!

"You need me, or you're nothing. Because we're just alike, you and I. Except you're boring."

Yeah I ended up enjoying it too. I was a bit worried after the first 10mins or so of young eddie - like they were beating me over the head of how he wanted to go to the Olympics over & over. Cute kid though!

Then as the story unfolded I found myself getting involved/interested. I liked the characters, Egerton and Jackman's chemistry too. Egerton did a great job!

Agree about the soundtrack with the early 80's tv synthesizer sounds lol but I actually found it funny!

I figure there will be people who won't like it because of the predictability and cliche characters, (his parents) but that didn't bother me enough to not like it.

So yeah, a nice enjoyable, uplifting, feel good movie.

Exactly what I was thinking. 1980's all over again. Being camp and not apologizing for it. Not being overly serious and never getting TOO dark. But at it's core had a heart.

Exactly. What is wrong with feeling good after you leave the cinema? Isn't that why they invented moving pictures in the first place? Have we grown so cynical that we rip on a film for delivering a nice message and a story that makes us feel true emotions?
