What is that song??

There is a song in the movie that the prince and Jules dance to. It's while he's teaching her to ballroom dance and she tells him to loosen up and he says that he's not the "funky type" and she responds that she's taken "jamnastics" lessons as the YMCA. It's the hip-hop-ish song they dance to. It doesn't matter how many of the lyrics I put into Google, I cannot find it ANYWHERE. Here's a link for it on youtube and it starts around 2:08 so feel free to fast forward to that point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5bmrl-vC8A

Pleeeease help, I'm desperate to find out what this song is!

I know this is a late post, but I don't think it's a real song, unfortunately :( I wish it was, I've been trying to find it since I first saw the movie with my grandparents.

reply

That sucks! I love it! =[

reply

Me too. I think they need to make it into a full one and then release it. Even my grandparents were liking it, and both of them like mostly country and Christian music.

reply

I know, it's so catchy! It makes me want to dance. I wanted to put it on my ipod! And you know what's funny? In the movie when she starts to play it, it's playing from her ipod! Lol, I didn't even think that they made music specifically for parts like that.

reply

Either did I! :) I was definitely hoping it was a real song, because I would love to have it

I think its Regular Joe by Royalush,

Uh, no...

This is an old tune, at least 75 years old. I think it's called The Anniversary Waltz or The Anniversary Song. It's kind of significant the way it's used in the plot because the lyrics (which you never hear) go something like "Oh, how we danced on the night we were wed." I think there is a link to a classical piece as well, but I would have to look that up.

reply

The Anniversary Waltz is played during the ball but it's not the hip-hop song played during the practice session.

reply

OK, it's a Roumanian Waltz written in 1880 called Waves of the Danube by Iosif Ivanovici.

Not sure if you still check this thread, but if you do, I found the song! Just bought the DVD today, and in the credits, it says the song is Jiggle Some Mo', and it's by Tonisha Weaver and V Style.

reply

what about the violin part just before the Anniversary song? and the song their dancing to in the dance lessons is also something else....

reply

Not sure if you're still checking this thread but in case it's still driving you as crazy as it was driving me until I figured it out...they used snippets of the instrumental music from Practical Magic all the way through the movie.

reply

Where can I find it? it's not on youtube!

reply

I don't know :'( I can't find it, either! Maybe it's not a real song after all?

reply

Theb problem is, I've heard it before, i'm sure of that. Really bothers me :/

reply
