Hello? It's Hallmark, Whaddya Want, People? Me Want Sam Heughan!

Ok, you haters out there trashing this made for TV movie ...why the heck are you even watching this? Of course it's a little hokey and sentimental, it's Hallmark. It's a FEEL good movie with pretty people, flimsy plot, slipped accents, rediculous rugs (on Sir Roger Moore), and a big warm happy ending!

Sure, it's not researched like Downton Abbey or a Masterpiece PBS production, and heck - I think it's all the more charming because of it. You want to see a really heartfelt Hallmark Christmas special? Look for Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas. That one had me bawling!

Jamie....err, Sam Heughan Twerking? Yes, Please!

Yes, this movie stars the gorgeous star of Outlander, Sam Heughan! His face isn't powdered, or rouged (as someone suggested), he's pale and Scottish! And if it's not Scottish, it's CRAP! (Bonus points if you get that Movie Quote!)

He's dishy, dreamy, and downright crave-able. I once dated a Scotsman in college and every time he he got emotional, drank, or did sport his dear cheeks would go quite pink! Adorable!

Now as to the lovely Irish Katie, aka Morgana, her arms are just lovely & not hefty as one of the posters suggested and I barely missed her accent slips - she was charming!

This recent fascination of mine with Hallmark Mysteries and Movies is frankly baffling to me. I'm usually into grittier fare - The Wire, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Penny Dreadful, heck - Doctor Who is light to me... so this watching Hallmark Channel soppy fare of late has knocked me for a loop.

Good Witch? adorable! - Signed, Sealed, Delivered? - I'll buy Forever Stamps to keep that coming! Aurora Teagarden? - Loved the books, because Charlaine Harris.

So don't expect deep characters or intricate plots with Hallmark but do willingly suspend your disbelief and enjoy the feels.

Here here Gwyneth.

Can you post this on all the Hallmark boards. I'm tired of the negativity.
It's good to dream

Thanks HolyCow & TotheWatersandtheWild!

I'd love to, where? I looked around the boards and didn't see any active Hallmark threads - give me a link & I'll get back up on my soapbox, baby!

I'm also on Twitter & usually have snarky, preachy, opinions there, too! @GwynethJones - Cheers!

It's one more than ten. It's louder.

So agree and they help with grief after a loved one.

This is one of the few Hallmark movies I watch consistently every year. Give me magic and fun and sweetness and charm any time of the year, but especially the holidays!

We expect hallmark hall of fame. Disney does the princess stuff to death. We fought against the British to not have a monarchy. Not sure why movies about Americans being royal are charming. The American president can take in some strays for once. The White House is quite beautiful and warm.

AGREE!! Thank you for bringing out the positive when so many can't enjoy what is a fun and happy Christmas movie. With the negative in the world, a positive movie is definitely in order. Blessings....
