Irritatingly dumb kids... Spoilers

How many times did Bobby have a chance to get away? How many times did he have chances to kill both of his kidnappers? He killed the first kidnapper by accident, but then had plenty of time to escape and get help, even as far as going outside repeatedly. I won't even go into how Bobby left the gun behind with his attacker after he handcuffed her in the basement, or how he had a knife and could have ambushed her multiple times without her even knowing he was there. They also left the ax with her after she was stunned. Just too many silly things like these made this movie unwatchable to me.

This frustrated me too. Not him not running away, cuz I could understand him trying to save his friend, but I didn’t understand why he kept leaving her alive after he had her handcuffed to the pipe.

Leaving her alive is understandable. Most adults, let alone kids, would balk at killing another human. Even one that was trying to kill them.

But yes, the number of weapons the kid threw away or didn't pick up was annoying. Knife, taser, axe... It reminded me of The Cabin By The Woods where in one scene, the movie specifically addressed that trope lol.
