I like how they explain their jokes...

just saw this on HBO. Rocky is walked out in chains, the guy punches him revealing adult diapers, to which he says "Adult Diapers?" ohh, that's what those are hahahah, he's old! Then he kills him with a syringe full of botox, and Rocky says "Botox overload," which really helped me understand what was happening, good thing they wrote that in the script.

I didn't get the diaper joke because I don't give a damn how old someone is as long as they do a good job. The writers must be some 20 or 30 somethings who think that anyone over 50 is a has been who has no business to be in movies.

That was a classic scene. Nobody does exposition better than these two. Also, you knew it was Rocky because there was a close-up shot of "Rocky" tailored on his briefs.

Let's look at the intricate foreshadowing of the scene: If you pay close attention, Rocky says, "I'm going to knock your head off!" Then, he knocks his head off. Wow! That was prophetic.

Yeah, I am also glad that they spend Millions of Dollars to make movies for mentally handicapped people. They are so easy to satisfy.

I mean, you could also spend this $hitload of Mon€y to HELP starving children or... the mentally handicapped... whatever.

Instead, Hollywood produces so called "comedy" movies for the m-Asses so they can have a cheap laugh...

R.I.P. subtle, intelligent humor.

You must be the happiest person in your village then.

Yes, indeed, I am... since I used to work with mentally handicapped people for almost ten years... and now I am happy that I have another job... :-D

A joke isn't funny unless it's explained. Friedberg & Seltzer understand this intuitively. My only complaint is that they didn't explain their jokes twice.
