Stumbled upon this movie while channel surfing and at first could not believe what I was seeing. It was so absurd - but once I started laughing, it all seemed funny! Frankly, no one can dictate what we should or should not find humorous. All this discussion of high brow humor, low brow humor ... *whatever* At the end of the movie, I felt good, and that's what it's all about.

funny how comedy works, there are some really high rated movies that barely make me smirk, yet this low rated one made me LOL several times. just shows that everybody's taste is different.

Some of the jokes had me laughing out loud, but the stupid Ghost Rider scene was shamefully forced and unfunny.

It made me laugh so much in some places i got stomach ache lol and was crying with laughter !.Took me a while to calm down from some of the scenes/lines !.I saw it for the first time tonight on tv.
Some of the jokes didnt make me laugh though and some were too disgusting !.Mostly though,i thought it was hilarious !.
I love alot of spoofs,the ones by Mel Brooks,The original " Scary movie ", Hot fuzz,Life of Brian,The holy grail,e.t.c.

Agreed. There was a lot of shamelessly stupid stuff in here. But Sean Maguire's got some decent comedic timing and some of the impersonators were really good. Not enough to redeem the film, though.

I couldn't help but laugh at how TERRIBLE it was. The only part that made me laugh hysterically was when they introduced Xerxes as "that fat guy from Borat."
shareThat's why I enjoy watching it. I remember when Wayne's World came out (now you know how really old i am)it was criticized for having an awful plot. I don't watch these movies for the in depth plot and dialogue and Oscar worthy acting. I watch these movies to laugh. If that makes me an awful person who wouldn't recognize good comedy, then I agree I don't know what comedy is.
shareVirtually every comedy ever made would at least elicit a laugh or two out of most people, but my question is, why settle for the bottom of the barrell? I'm sure if I watched "Meet the Spartans" (not gonna happen) I would find something funny now and then, but there are dozens and dozens of classic comedies that seem like better bets to provide a better experience. How about expending an ounce of effort in choosing what movies to watch?

Well it wasnt great, but indeed, several laughs. Best one was the charge out of the village on the tunes of i will survive.
