At the beginning, Jack and that other guy share a brief celebratory mouth-kiss. And at the dance class, the female instructor runs her hand down Alice's side. These, along with their striving for normalcy and perfection, made me initially think it was going to be some sort of conversion therapy thing, and all the husbands were going to the desert to do gay stuff together. Of course that would've been too much for a mainstream movie.

Also, when Alice gets out of the trolley for the plane crash, I don't get that part. Sure, wander into the desert with those nice shoes, no water, and no one knowing where you are. Swell idea. Did it not occur to her that it would be faster, and therefor more helpful, to just go back to town and report it?

And thank goodness Shia got the boot, he would've been awful to watch in this.
