Sarah sacrificing herself so Rios could escape is quite a powerful scene, at least to me – I got goosebumps! So why would you render the entire thing useless 30 seconds later?!
It's the cornball type of ending that someone with enough authority thought was cool, that the rest of the staff was like, 'Dude, they're going to hate the hell out of that [ending].' But that person/people was/were like, 'Nope. Let's go with it...because I'm in charge and I say so.'
It's the type of ending that makes a movie that's barely watchable completely unlikeable.
----------------------- When we're thinking about our own brain, would that be a mental paradox??
That ending is even worse. Like far, far worse. And it's too bad because I enjoyed Wrong Turn 3 a ton until the end. Don't watch the end if you see it lol
I normally don't mind gloomy endings. I think they work most of the time in horror movies but this one just felt out of place. If they wanted that kind of ending they should've just had all those creatures gathered near the exit eat them both. It didn't make sense for her to have escaped at all. The guy might've been crazy but it still felt like it was tacked on just to have a final twist. Other than that, the movie is good.
