Saw it last night
I saw the movie last night. During a film festival.
I have to admit I went to see it because of my cousin, who is a big fan of the author's books, so I didn't have any expectations.
The movie was good- the lead actress, Sarah Michelle Gellar did a very good job- each movement, facial muscle and word was precised and used on purpose. She was believable and real as almost everybody elsewas indeed. I don't remember the character of Claire in the book but I didn't find the movie Claire well built. Maybe it's because she is a minor figure, but she didn't impress me the way the others did.
As a whole I have to admit i was quite surprised to find how good the movie was. It's not a movie for everyone but it's more genuine than more of the products, released lately. I want to persuade the ones who are fond of the book that the director has kept almost evrything from it there are just some small changes, which surely won't disturb you.
And if you want to ask feel free to do it
