Sorry, but Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Veronika? You got to be kidding me! The most intense expression she is capable of is to look hurt. My 4 year old nephew could have played this better.

Sorry to disappoint, but Sarah Michelle Gellar did a wonderful job as Veronika. She is an amazing and unfortunately underrated actress. And Paulo said that she captured his vision of Veronika perfectly..

Yeah Buffy would have been bad as Veronika I agree. I mean, Buffy doesn't have much.. or well any.. acting experience.. just experience killing things. Sarah Michelle Gellar, on the other hand, was the perfect choice .

Um, the title is Veronika Decides to DIE so if anything, being able to express hurt a lot is a good thing in this case?! Stupid.

The Air I Breathe was brilliant, I can't wait to see this film!

I agree.. The air i breathe was the a brilliant movie.. what a pity it was as brilliant as underrated.. Exactly like Sarah.. She is a really good actress

Some people are just sad...

The fact that you refer to her as a character she did back in the day only reveals your level of superficiality and your lack of depth as an intellectual organism.

I hate Buffy The Vampire Slayer (it's not that I don't like her acting in it, I just can't stand the whole vampire plot thing) but I think Michelle is a wonderful WONDERFUL actress that is quite under-rated due to people like yourself.

Shame on you.

Actually if you look beyond the vampire and monster plots you will find that Buffy was a really good and intelligent drama. Just take episodes like Hush, Once More With Feeling or The Body.
The SF/Fantasy setting allowed to depict things that are hard to do in a traditional show. Those vampires and monsters are metaphors for real world fears and problems.
And Sarah was just stunning in her performance as Buffy Summers/Faith/Buffybot/The First ... No other role could have shown better what an outstanding actress she is.

Are you mad? As SMG showed in Buffy, she is capable of the entire range of emotions (see especially the episode "The Body"), and can do both high drama and comedy too, which is hard. We must just see different performances. Sorry, but this has been weighing on me since your OP 5 years ago. ;-)
