I LOVED Veronika's open narration about meds, depression, relationships... The tone of voice and the way Gellar spoke was almost haunting.

I'm having trouble understanding anything she's saying in the opening narration. I'm watching the movie on my laptop and using headphones, so I have full control of the volume, but her voice seems a little indistinct.

That's why you don't understand anything.
The audio is best send threw a Surround system, so the opening narration is focused in the Center speaker.

Later in her apartment, the narration is also best heard over a Surround system, because her voice begins to travel between the audio channels.
