All 80's remakes Suck!
Original Footloose had charm and real innocence and Lori Singer. Can't replace that.
Karate Kid? Don't even get me started. Pat Morita was epic as Mr. Miagi.
I really think it was the time. The 1980's had a certain feeling to it. From the music from so many legendary artist to the movies that captured what it was like to be young and naive. Movies like Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire and even the Back to the Future's, as a teenager on the brink of adultdom, the movies were just better. Cheesy at times, whne looked at compared to today's digital overload, but that was what makes them special.
I wish they would stop remaking the classics, although I suppose kids today need to see their own generations STARS, yet somehow they just can't get it right.
Really miss John Hughes!
