wasnt exactly the same but it had tony danza and almost the same plot except he didnt go to his hometown he went to some hick ass town he didnt wanna be in this movie is a total knockoff of that.

Sooner or later, movie plots get recycled.
It happens quite often.

Actually, the first time it was done it was called "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas". This movie and "Stealing Christmas" are both workarounds of that story. Dr. Seuss ripped off again.
