I wrote some time ago that when the MCU does the Fantastic Four they should set it in the 1960s, and I heard today that they are doing that. I'm excited!

shareThe Incredibles was a riff on Fantastic Four, so it makes sense that it does. I'm just glad it's set in the 1960s. When I suggested that the day after Disney acquired Fox it felt like an impossibility.
shareYeah, I think it's smart to be in their own alternate timeline thanks to the multi-universe. It runs into the same problem Captain Marvel 1 and Eternals did. Like wtf were they when Thanos was around?

Same issue here as Wonder woman when they decided to retcon Man Of Steel as part of some DCU.
Just make comic book films standalone again! I mean, all the best ones are...
