I just finished the movie...liked it more than I thought I would! Why did someone let the animals out at the end? Probably doesn't really matter...but that struck me as odd.

Some of the workers were avenging the deaths of Kinko and Camel and the redlighting of others that August refused to pay. The were fed up and wanted to destroy him.
