The most entertaining Halloween movie

Not that it's the best, but certainly the most entertaining, IMO. The kills are great in this. The early scene with Michael wiping out the entire fire department after a pretty badass looking walkout of the burning house was very well done. The flashback scenes to 1978 were awesome as well. I could watch a whole movie based on the 1978 scenes.

Yes, the "evil dies tonight" was absolutely awful every time it was uttered. Anthony Michael Hall felt very over the top in ever scene he was in as well. But the movie definitely had a great overall atmospheric feel to it. I might be a little biased because it was filmed in Wilmington, NC, which I love that town.

It definitely felt the most intense. It really showed off Michael's killing machine behavior, and how he doesn't care about anyone or anything. His entire existence is based on killing. This is the one I go to despite it's glaring flaws.

Halloween Ends, on the other hand. Just woof. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. But that's a topic for another day.

Agreed , I just rewatched Kills this HW after only having seen it once before when it came out in dvd in like 2021 or 22 when I thought it was OK but its better than remember , just full on action packed sequel bigger more violent than 2018, the kills were inventive and fun, Michael is quite funny at times in a Terminator from T1 type way .. AMH was a great lead and the Demi Moore lookalike was hot (who was actually in the original as a little girl along with several others). The recreation of the 1978 scenes were just spot on with the grain/mask and looked just like extra scenes from H78 complete with Donald Pleasance lookalike (retconning H2, in fact Kills was similar to H2 in that it has JLC laid up in hospital for the duration of the film). Also the shock end was cool and potential great set up for Ends (which botched it)

I will revisit Ends in next few days before the halloween vibe totally fades out for this year but I doubt will change my (and mosts) view on it being a total clusterf**kup of the trilogys end (I didn't bother to rewatch H2018 before Kills as felt id seen it too many times but maybe I will as well )

The Rob Zombie Halloween movies are still the most intense and brutal to me. If you like a slasher with an insanely high body count Halloween Kills definitely delivers. I do feel bad for the firefighters trying to put out the fire at Laurie Strode's House. They were just doing their job and only there to up the body count of the movie.
