I can't believe the score of this movie is that low.. Y'all are really hard on these flicks...lol. I would have given it at least a 6.5; maybe even a 7. Reason is because for the first time in a long time Michael Myers actually seemed like a monster, instead of the one person/thing whatever in the movie who I would actually root for as he killed a bunch of people that I didn't care about. He has been ruthless in this series and actually scary. This time I really want the people to kill the monster instead of Halloween movies being really nothing but pointless; forgettable messes like they have been since like part 2 way back in the early 80's.. Well, I kind of liked the Rob Zombie ones a little bit too...I guess.

I thought it was a solid 7. Pretty good slasher. Really delivered on the mayhem. They are doing a good job with Michael, too, I agree.

I agree 5.5 seems rather low even with the context of this series. I would personally give it a 7 out of 10, but taking into account the typical IMDB ratings for horror movies and this particular series, I would have expected something around a 6.1 on IMDB.

Any movie that depicts an evil character like a Michael Myers, cannot ever get a rating above 4.0 for me. In general, no horror movie should get a rating higher than a 4 in my book
