Three scenes that show the writers are thinking (spoilers)

Enjoy the show. Interesting premise, good acting and most of all like that you can tell the writers aren't just mailing it in.

Particularly saw the last part of it in these three scenes.

1 -- the opener. Who shows the death of a same age looking version of the lead character right off the bat? Maybe in a movie, but in a series that we have to assume would like a 2nd season? These folks have something different in mind off the bat obviously.

2 -- Camila (the shows most intriguing character) breaking up with her husband. All so understated and seemingly non-dramatic, yet held a powerful emotional undercurrent and set up for what their relationship was like and foretelling of more to come.

3 -- the death of Teresa's first friend in the cage. You are thinking here is going to be the buddy that shows her the ropes and gives her insights into what is going on. Yeah she might have been an emotional loss down the road in a few episodes, but just as the exposition on her character development starts towards that.....there she goes.

thus far, i have found the show to have a general sense that they know where they want to go, and a steady beat to the episodes. i've watched some other shows, some of which that didn't quite last very long, that didn't have an overall plan and would jump between standalone episodes, and ones that are supposedly to be part of the arc, as well as somewhat unexpected deaths or entries of characters.

Here, though, while there has been some deaths, and other characters come in, it doesn't have the feel that the events were "forced in" but rather part of a planned scheme.

Right with you. Think the writers know exactly where this is going. Considering it a female version of Scarface....and that was one awesome flick.
