Alice Braga as Theresa

Does anyone think she was miscast in this role?

I would have liked to have seen Kate del Castillo in this role, but at 43, I guess they didn't deem her age appropriate any longer to play Theresa.

I like her in this role.

Alice is the only reason I started watching this and keep watching it. I don't know why, but I can't take my eyes off her when she is on the screen

I Agree 100% with You!

Me too! Love her!!

They could've cast an unknown and I still would've watched. Alice Braga is fine but she's not the one I'm watching this show for anymore. All the supporting cast, specifically Camilla and Epifaino, are the only reason I'm still watching. At this point Theresa could die and I wouldn't blink because I'm enjoying the drama in the Vargas cartel.

Kate is a fine actress..and maybe there is another role for her in this but not Theresa.

It's not Kate's age, but the role of Theresa against the role of Camilla.
Camilla was cast brilliantly with Veronica Falcone...and since the role of Theresa is "learning", Alice fits. Veronica takes this series, she is also why I watch. I just adore Alice but right now, Vernoica shows the strength, has the chops and is driving this series right now against all she acts against. (And I think Joaquim is the bomb in his role as well. Veronica and Joaquim together, they are the series right now.

If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions.

Kate would have been better suited as Camila, but I like who's playing Camila now. Not necessarily pretty, but she's tough, smart and sexy.

I agree with the others, the Teresa of most the series is basically a girl finding who she is and her strength. Kate del Castillo is beyond playing that kind of naivete. As others have said, it would really be like the Camilla character playing against a Camilla like character.

That said, I also agree with posters that it's all about the supporting characters for me. Teresa is about fighting and resisting and trying to get out. Honestly, that gets old quickly. Seeing what everyone else does is what keeps me watching.

It reminds me of La Femme Nikita (the Peta Wilson version) in that way. The rebellious child going along kicking and screaming the whole way got old fast. (Half the time, I wished they just kill her off so I would watch the more intriguing characters in peace). It wasn't until Nikita learned and began to resist/fight/hinder the others on their own level that her character became interesting.

I don't trust people who don't like pets and I don't trust people who pets don't like.

I agree. And felt the same. But they would have had to change the title of the show. And could you imagine the backlash of the Michael/Nikita shippers?YIKES!  LOL

That was when I began to love the show and was horribly disappointed that it was cancelled.

PS-I love your quote. It is so true.
