Since I have never read the book or the Spanish version I didn't see that ending coming.

Really isn't very close to the book at all.

Forget the book. It has very little to do with it (thankfully because the book wouldn't have made a good show I think) and the Spanish version is verrrrry far from the US show. Brenda and Camilla don't exist for example.

And I didn't see the ending coming either.
