Can I just say how much I LOVE these movies. Tom Selleck plays a great police chief, and I love that all the other actors return to play their characters. I wish this would becomes a series. And I hope there will be more in the future.
shareIt would be nice to see this as a series if only to see Kathy Baker on tv again. I do like Tom Selleck, but Jesse Stone Sea Change is the only one I've watched of the series because Kathy Baker was in it and I've never watched Tom Selleck on Magnum P.I.
shareSome people say this serie is about a bored and boring gray smalltown cop, but I rarely remember such good character portraits and story-line in a crime movie, so I say *beep* them:D
shareI enjoyed the first one a lot! If others don't like these movies they are free to change the channel. We all have different tastes and can be tolerent of one another.
shareThe best part about the movie-series is the way the show moves. It is differet then most other movies or shows out there that have a quick pace and have to keep the your attention with CSI or Law and Order crazyness.
I like the TV-Movie format, I just wish we could get say three or four a year, but with Selleck doing Las Vegas, I don't see that happening. One for Early Fall, then right around november, january/feb, and then one in april or may.
I guess it IS a TV series as it is, but I'm impatient waiting a whole year between episodes. I like Tom Selleck, but don't find Vegas to be a very interesting vehicle for him. Maybe they could give us two Jesse Stones a year. That would be an improvement.
shareI don't see "Suit" or "Molly" listed in the characters. I have a bad feeling about this one due to the fact Robert B didn't write it. If it Ain't broken, Don't fix it, ey? I also don't like the fact it's on regular TV as opposed to cable. Not enough "nitty gritty" allowed.
That (of course) doesn't mean for a second I won't watch it.
I love it. Anyone who doesn't appreciate this series of telefilms obviously has no appreciation for any detective film noir movies or stories.
shareWith Las Vegas being canceled, that will give Tom more time to make Jesse Stone movies. I would be happy with 3 or 4 a year. There is a new Jesse Stone novel out in the book stores. I would also like to see Mimi Rogers make an emcore appearance on the show, and I hate that Polly Shannon was killed off, she was great in this show.
