Wouldn't It be cool to see Jonathan and Megan in a modern time film?

Anne, Anne, Anne.... She's wonderful, and no matter how long all of us live, she will always be in our hearts. Gilbert will forever be heartbreakingly gorgeous and romantic, and everytime we hear the opening bars of the Anne of Green Gables theme song play, we will instantly BURST into tears, and imagine the breathtaking views of the coast of Prince Edward Island...

But you know what? The reality of it all is that along with the characters, it's the actors themselves, we have become attached to... Megan Follows and Jonathan Crombie are REAL people who live and breathe as we speak!! They've grown so much since "Anne", and wouldn't it be great to see them together in something modern of the times? Don't you think that we, as fans, can make a difference? I do!

What makes or breaks the success of an actor/actress is the fan base... it really is, and I think we should all ban together AND DEMAND to see them together in a new series of something totally different! My suggestion is that we write the agencies that handle them. As a writer, I already have been to OAZ in Toronto myself about Jonathan Crombie. We should contact producers who have filmed them, and directors who have cast them, etc., etc., and start whining and griping, until something happens....
