Just me or did B.Hershey's Anne Come off Lesbian?

I got a major gay/lesbian vibe off of Barbara Hershey's portrayl of Anne Shirley.
And no, I am not anti-gay or anything, just commenting that Anne came off as a lesbian in this movie.
Maybe it was the costuming? I dunno exactly, but it was just terrible.
Horrible casting.
They should have used Megan Follows and aged her.
She just ruined the movie (which wasn't that great except for Hannah's performance which was flawless).

I sat thinking that her character's costumes reminded me of Katharine Hepburn and KH kind of had that vibe for me, although Spencer Tracey would argue that.
Having said that, I think the costumes were nicely done.

The lack of a love interest (Gil) didn't help.

Yeah, the pants and how she sat on chairs. I got a big Katherine Hepburn vibe as well.
