I am from the USA and this film has not aired just yet. I was wondering if someone who has seen the film can be so kind as to tell me about what happened to Rachel and Mrs. Hammond. I know that both of the actresses from the beloved original movie returned. Can you tell us what happened in the film to them? Were they just cameos? Thank you and Best Wishes!

They were cameos. Jayne Eastwood (Mrs. Hammond) does speak when Anne is brought to live with her. Patricia Hamilton (Rachel) is only shown in a few glimpses.

I realize that Hamilton is elderly now, but come on at least give the woman a line.

I guess they would have to pay her more if she spoke something. Otherwise, it's like she's background (camera) noise.
