20 minutes in to Alone and the Korean version of the story seems a lot better.

They made some tweaks to the script that made a big difference and the direction is tighter, the characters and dialogue more relatable. The gamer geek in the Korean version is easier to care about than this sleazy LA dude.

Alone??? Did they make an American version of this? Can't seem to find it.

The Korean version is called Alive, also released in 2020.

Oh, I misread your post. Yes, they made it around the same time the SK version was made. The SK version is better, though. It looks like it's still on Pluto TV if you're curious.
