Not shocked at all. The Academy loves anything that has to do with old Hollywood.

It was good, but not that good. I think it will win cinematography and has a decent shot in a couple other categories, but I don't think it will win picture, director, or actor.

Oscars will be an insider's lovefest with token awards for black films to make it appear diverse.

The sad thing is that black film makers will lap it up as legitimate recognition.
