Is it me or is this film not called 'The Legend of Bruce Lee'?

All the arguing over realism and all. The title specifically says it's probably all BS. It's not called "The Story", "The Life" nor "The Truth About" it's called "The Legend of Bruce Lee". Which in itself lends to the idea it's not so much about truth as much as what we would like to believe (or do believe) about Bruce Lee and how we'd like to remember him, the greatest martial arts action hero ever. And nothing that ever comes out about Bruce will satisfy some people. Have fun and enjoy the movie. Sheesh.

I agree. Calling it "the legend" of Bruce Lee does lend itself to dramatization. Bio pics are rarely 100% accurate and even the ones that come close allow themselves some leeway to heighten the reality. This series was made with a reasonable budget and they've made an good looking show. It will likely be more accurate than Dragon though I did enjoy that film.

Excpet Bruce was known as a legend. He was known as this for everything he did achieve in his life.
So the fact they are using the word "legend" tied to a Bruce Lee story does indicate some degree of fact...and it's not.

If they wanted to be accurate, then they should have called it, "A Load Of Bullsh!t Made Up About The LEGEND Just To Cash In On His Name".

Th fact the the WHOLE concept goes against everything Bruce was against (in terms of film-making) is an insult to his name.
The could have made the same damn show, without Bruce Lee being mentioned at all. His name was only used to cash in. And if they wanted to make a fictional show about Kung Fu...then that is what they should have done.
There was no reason at all to include the name of Bruce Lee in this what so ever...other then cash of course.
