When I first read the description and watched the trailer, it made me think of a movie

Between Midnight Mass and The Unholy, I prefer The Unholy. Yes, I am aware that they are two different things because The Unholy was based on book by James Herbert, but still the movie and the tv show share a similar theme. The difference is Midnight Mass has an ancient winged Vampire as the villain and they were on isolated island. The Unholy has a poltergeist or demon as the villain and there’s no isolation to one location.
