Its a MODEL show. VJ isnt even one..

so I dont get it..

How about that it's "America's" Most Smartest Model and Andre is ever so proudly NOT American...what's up with that?
VJ's a model, he just doesn't have as much experience in the business--as he said he's only been working for 5-6 months.

VJ is NOT a model. He had no modeling agent at the time of this filming. Just because someone says they're a model doesn't make them one and that is going to be a HUGE issue next season just watch. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry is going to come on the show claiming to be a model. As for Andre, he IS an American, just wasn't born here...the show doesn't specify 'America's Most Smartest Model Born In America'.

He was an unsigned and inexperienced person claiming to be a model. A modeling competition is like a pageant where people hoping to become models go to a room full of agents tyrying to get contracts...VJ didn't get one.

So what? Models don't always have work, they're always between jobs. The show itself was promoting their own modeling careers.

Um, in order to be a model you have to have to with an agency otherwise you're just a person claiming to be a model...like VJ.

Honey he didn't even have a book! In order to be a model you HAVE to be with an agency! There is no ifs ands or buts about it. And a Pro Scout Search is exactly what I just described. Learn about the fashion industry little one before you try to talk to grown ups about it, otay?

I have no doubt that VJ probably is signed to agency now to capitalize on the momentum from the show, but MY POINT WAS that he was not signed at the time of filming. And ANTM is not even a real modeling contest either...it should be called America's Next Cover Girl Model. And very few of those girls go on to actual modeling and are rarely heard from again (VJ's future). As for my credentials, I went to fashion school dearie, assisted at three fashion shows (one in NYC and two in Florida) and know what I am talking about. I was also friends with an executive at Boss Models *THE NUMBER ONE MALE MODELING AGENCY* named Jason Kanner who helped discover Marcus Schenkenberg. Now, get off Mommy's computer and read a book...one that may help you learn a bit about the fashion industry...maybe Vogue NOT Cosmo Girl.

Even supermodels have to be represented by an agency. Why is this so hard for you to understand? Are you really that thick? Wow.

Clients go through AGENTS to book models. Clients do not go directly to the models to book the jobs.

He got a job by winning a contest, an unfairly judged one.

When you look that good - you don't have to try hard to be a model. It was so funny when he woke up in bed that morning and said "There must be more to life than being really, really, rediculously good-looking".

he's fat and ugly. he has love handles! gross!

No he was not better looking than all of them.
VJ certainly isn't as ripped as Andre certainly not does he have as much stamina as he does as evidenced by the cheating he did during the treadmill challenge.
Brett and Pickel had more charisma and Brett had the best face out of all of them.
In reality had Pickel not been assininely eliminated he would have won.

Andre is NOT an American. He is a Russian citizen, born in Moscow. His father is Romanian and his mother is Russian. While he has lived in this country for a short time, he has NEVER gotten his citizenship, so I have no idea where you get your definition of an "American."

Not only is he NOT an American, he is also a criminal. According to the New York Post...

"Birleanu, who has been featured in ad for Converse and Saks Fifth Avenue, has served a half-dozen prison stints since 2000 on charges including assault, harassment, criminal contempt, criminal mischief and trespassing, law-enforcement sources said."

"Birleanu has a disturbing rap sheet. At the time of his arrest early yesterday morning, he was free on $3,500 bail for yet another bizarre incident involving a woman. On Oct. 17, Birleanu was charged with stalking, aggravated harassment and attempted assault on a model friend.

He is accused of leaving her a series of menacing messages, including two in which he allegedly threatened to break her legs. He tracked her down in the street and grabbed her hair, according to police records.

"I was in total shock," that woman told The Post. "He pulled my hair once. He stopped. I crossed the street . . . I started running, and he screamed at me, 'I'm going to break your f- - -ing legs.' "

But the stalking charges are just the tip of the iceberg.

Birleanu's longest stint behind bars was a six-month stay in Rikers in 2003 for harassment, contempt and assault. "
