Even the director of the movie, who consistently makes crappy movies, said it was a crappy movie. IMHO, it's one of the worst movies ever made. Not a single redeemable thing about it. Even the action sequences sucked.
I know, even the action sucked. The film is a mess, even young people can tell how bad this film was. My little cousin who loves the Michael Bay transformer films, and is no older than 8, agrees this film wasn't as good as the other two. Damn right Ben.
I found the action scenes pretty difficult to follow and some of the dialogue in my view was really badly paced. I'm also left feeling that nothing has been explained properly regarding the narrative, eg. who exactly were these original "transformers" and why were they on Earth - what exactly happened to prevent them from extracting the Sun of all of its energy in the past (Aside from the Decepticons being prevented by the Primes from doing so. If Earth was a living planet and thereby excluded it's solar system from the "sun extraction" program, what stopped the Autobot/Decepticon parties from simply moving on the moment they knew this, before anyone entertained any ideas of forcible sun extraction?)?
That said, I liked many of the characters and the "cutesy" element. :)
There billions and billions of other suns out there. I think the Decepticons can find other suns to drain. The Fallen just had an extra beef with Earth because this is where he was defeated.
ALthough... seeing that it's the other primes who are dead and he's alive, I am not so sure if HE was the one who lost. It's not clear why the primes had to sacrifice themselves and how they defeated the Fallen. Once again, The Fallen seems weak, but he's free... still commanding Megs.
