Why the writers' strike messed up ROTF

That writers strike was a big *beep* you!" to the public. That's really all it was. They wanted more money for their work (by getting paid for digital content, among other things) and for what? Writers have gone down in quality, not up. It took a movie like THE ARTIST to prove that there's still quality writing out there, and it was a foreign film! All of these US based writers are *beep* their work is *beep* and it should be priced like *beep*

Sure, once in a while, a good story comes along and makes you take notice, but for the most part, it's retreads, "homages" and original ideas twisted to look like something else. And they went on strike for that? *beep* them.

LOL this is quite an interesting take on the situation.

It's funny. These Transformers films are so poorly written its not even that noticeable in this film.

I think most people only like these films for the michael bay slo-mo shots of robots and military action.

I don't even know how to respond to that. If it wasn't for writers there'd be no shows. Good or bad there'd be no content. If studios want that content they have to pay for that. And the back pay for the sales of DVDs and digital content was promised to the writer's guild in the 80's when VHS tapes became popular. They were simply getting what was theirs.

If you pirate media, you do not get to have an opinion on it.
