did anyone notice that in the first scene with demi and joe (in the kitchen, demi's face full of flour) when shane first walks into the kitchen and says hello that his tongue is blue.
they must have done that shot over and over for him to have a blue tongue from the BLUE cupcake that he licks the frosting from haha.

in behind the scenes stuff that was in one of those teen mags, one of the cast members said how they were eating raspberry flavoured (blue) candy in between takes so thats why his tongue is blue. its not supposed to be "because he ate the cupcake", it was actually fully coincidential.
Are you sure you have the right movie...in HSM 2 when Troy and Gabriella are singing "You are the music in me" apparently Vanessa Hudgens was eating blue raspberry candies...
