Why wasn't Nick the lead?

That's the only thing I don't get...?? It's not like he's ugly or anything, he has a pretty big fanbase and he's closer to Demi's age. So why the 18 year old?
And if it was a 'lead singer' thing...well then, Connect 3 isn't real so they couldv'e worked ssomething out.

well, most girls like Joe better.

he's "hotter".

nick is way better, but he couldn't play a "bad boy."

reply

Actually, Joe was the one auditioning, Kevin and Nick were just helping him out. The casters liked them all though, so they added in parts for Nick and Kevin. Even if they'd liked Nick more, I doubt he would've taken the job. That would've been sad to do to Joe. haha

Because, you see, Joe is hotter. :)
And he can definately carry the whole 'bad boy' thing better than Nick.

reply

Because they want someone that actually reached puberty.

reply

Because Nick can't flipping act.

Hey, where's Perry?

Personally I think Nick is a good actor. However, I don't think he likes acting as much as Joe. When you hear them all talk about things they would like to do in the future, Nick's is always more performing, while Joe's is acting and Kevin's is directing. Not to mention, like other posters have said, I really can't see Nick pulling off the bad boy thing very well. He seems too innocent to pull it off.

In the end it seems like it was a good choice since Nicks diabetes decided to be difficult while they were working on the movie. (I think thats where he said he wrote A Little Bit Longer)

Nicks too "pretty" and innocent
