Who gives a flaming flying fart in space?
It's just named Camp Rock. No one said the music played has to be rock or what everyone stereotypically calls rock. To me, I can 'rock' to rap. I can 'rock' to country,. I can 'rock' to pop. So it really rubs me the wrong way how people keep saying that crap. Well, sorry. I needed to vent. Comment on this and tell me if you think I'm right or wrong, I promise I won't be mad at you if you disagree.

I have the same birthday as James Morrison, Nicole Sullivan, Tony Romo,and Tony Danza. Be jealous.

I agree! just because its Camp 'Rock' doesnt mean all the music played there has to be rock! BUT i do see where people are coming from

I have the same birthday as all of those you mention (James Morrison, Nicole Sullivan, Tony Romo and Tony Danza, also AnnaSophia Robb, Kim Basinger, Flip Wilson, Sammy David Jr.,etc.)-December 8. :)-Ooops, as Britney would say, I did it again, wrong James Morrison, I thought you meant the Doors's Jim Morrison and it turns out its an actor really using James and not Jim and who was born on April 21..:(

Agreed on your comments on the title of the movie, I don't give a *beep* either what the term rock means, just the term jazz..

Original Definition of Rock: First off it is actually Rock & Roll but that has changed over the years. Now there is Hard Rock, Metal Rock, Classic Rock and Southern Rock etc.

Definition: A style of popular music that derives in part from blues and folk music and is marked by a heavily accented beat and a simple, repetitive phrase structure.

Pop music ='s Popular Music. It's an abbreviation. So therefore they can have other styles of Rock including Pop if they go by the original definition.

Rock Bands decided to claim the name ROCK and insinuate that it is the only true Hard Music. Which is really not true. Personally I prefer Rock music to Pop but being into music I do like a little of everything.

Honestly I'd never even considered it. I just took rock to mean music period, like an example of metonymy. Anyway, it was actually a fun watch despite the hate voting its endured on here.
