is this film based on dmt? and could it be real?

"more than a thousand years old...has the power to empower your mind..." = describes ayahuasca, magic mushrooms and its years of use
"People must be in their right minds when they make the choice" (to go to the other side) = describes the 'set' part of the set and setting concept for doing psychedelics
"This is a refuge for hearts in need of truth. A place for souls to be purified." = The wisdom associated with psychedelics

i can't help but feel that this film is based solely on psychedelics, particularly since the mirror served as a portal between their present and alternate realms. This quote stuck out the most to me "..let him guide and transport you to worlds and possibilities you never dreamt of... If you dare. But... Beware...there are dangers. You will have to choose. Will your soul fly?... Or will it be dashed on the rocks of darkness?"

I've read quite a bit about psychedelics and it seems like there is a lot more than what we know. The visuals people see and the places they visit (while on strong doses), might not entirely be just the byproducts of the brain's rapid firing of neurons, maybe these substances act as gateways of transport for souls, hence the 'hallucinations' may genuinely be real as souls are dwelling in spirit territory. Anyhow, people have reported hearing voices in their heads, having flashbacks of psychedelic trips from time to time, months after having used the substance. I'm suggesting this theory that that once they'd blasted off to hyperspace, they had unwillingly brought back spirits with them on their soul's return..

So i was asking, was this film sending a message to us in some sort of way, informing us, positioning us in a state more prone to trying psychedelics to 'uncover the mysteries of the universe' and 'expanding our consciousness''?
