Wife divorce? Is she still alive?

Did they get a divorce? If so, did she find a way to get some of his money? Is she still alive?

No one has a history on the wife? Were they divorced?

The years of court battles took a toll on the family, especially the couple's marriage. Robert and Phyllis Kearns separated in 1981 and had a drawn-out divorce that was completed in 1986.

If they were not divorced at the time of his court victory (and I have no idea on the real-life timeline here), he should have just had Ford make the check over to his wife,lol. The last thing this guy needed was another court case!

I disagree. Hopefully they had prenups. His invention, his money.

I know it's a dirty game, but it's the only one The Man left us to play.

When you read this link, you can understand why Kearns was impossible to live with in real life, and both his wife and children had little to do with him. Unfortunately, the movie makes him look so nice and his children so supportive that you hate the wife for leaving him, and she becomes one of the villains.
