Horrible Trailer!

Just watched the trailer for this movie and what i can say is ...another box-office flop!

Every joke in the trailer sucked!
I mean..if those are the 'good' jokes...how the hell is the rest of the movie.

Nothing can save this car crash!

Based on who is in this - the three leads and a part (of what size I don't know) for Jim Parsons, I want to like this movie. The premise also seemed ok. But the trailer really disappointed me too. Here's to hoping the movie proves us wrong.

reply

Parsons has only a bit part with just a few scenes.

Thanks for the info TooSlim. That's unfortunate in my opinion but I'll still probably wind up seeing it. LOL.

I read the book (which was excellent BTW, especially if you are a birder) but unfortunatley it shares next to nothing with the book except the title. I wish they would have made a documentary from it, THAT would have been worthwhile...not this drivel. I don't think I will even watch it if it comes on free TV.

TooSlim - I also thought it was a drivel. And you really have to try hard to make such a drivel with actors Steve Martin, Angelica Houston, Owen Wilson and Jack Black. I still don't know who greenlighted this "movie". I would be surprised if this movie breaks $15 million at the US box office...

Slim, my thought too -- wouldn't the concept of the big year, esp. the 1998 Big Year, be a great documentary? I guess there probably isn't a lot of film from the year, but Miller, Levantin, and Komito are alive and well as far as I know, why do a silly dramatization? My sister and I were just discussing this about "A Dolphin Tale," why not a documentary? Holding out hope that this will be good, but those trailers are painful ...

One of the worst trailers I've seen in a long time... Almost feels like a parody trailer.
