its a great drameddy, lots of funny parts, but nothing too laugh-out-loud funny, but mainly it's a very enjoyable and light-hearted movie about life, and enjoying life
shareWhat coolbeans said.
There's no bathroom humor (except household remodeling of a bathroom)
I don't remember any swearing at all.
It's more of a "nice" film then a comedy.
I haven't seen it but someone on another site said that they said the s-word and one muted out f-word.
shareI didn't notice any swearing, which means there might have been a little.
What this movie is, is an old-fashioned, non-farcical comedy. It had kind of a nice message, but it didn't sledgehammer you over the head with it, like so many "uplifting, inspiring" movies do nowadays. It was funny, but not jokey. And what surprised me the most was how likable Jack Black was.
This was a film hard to classify...not a childrens film, although that was all the previews were. I guess a true movie you can take the family to.
it was a very good film. very well made with outstanding scenery. go see it in digital if you can...those wide shots of the various locales were the best part.
but an interesting film. not many know about birding, so you get to see that, you get to see the three guys at various stages of their life and their travels thru the year in search of setting a birding record.
where it differs is that it was dirty, it was pretty clean, but you dont mind, it didnt sugar coat things too much and it wasnt childish clownish humor, but light humor. it did have a good moving story. just a light one. a very enjoyable watch.
as for the "dirty parts" I counted one each of: "ass", *beep* think)" and one middle finger given.
this film was actually a refreshing break from the usual hollywood fare, and very unique. go see it i recommend
