Super strength?

A lotta talk about the leap from invisibility to added strength, speed and fighting ability. They could have easily shown him to be a fitness/MMA freak. I felt it was an unnecessary add-on, and more clever ways could have been used in the fight scenes.

And what about his post "captivity" physical condition. Unless he'd actually tied himself up for weeks (doubtful), the absence of dehydration, pebble indentations in his butt, chafed wrists from the restraints, etc. were all something a medical exam would reveal as bull.

I assumed one of two things;

1. Yes, it gave him a certain level of enhanced strength.
2. Or, as an evil maniacal sociopath - who is possibly a serial killer - it's possibly he was extremely into fitness and/or self defense. He's rich, has tons of time, could be one of those dudes dedicated to making himself as perfect/finely tuned as possible.This

But yes, a clear explanation would not have been awful.

How do you know he wasn't dehydrated or had butt indentations? It never states otherwise. I think the ending is purposefully ambiguous. James is shocked and we're supposed to be too, because we're still not sure he did it.

Its a known fact that if one was to become invisible, a side effect is increased strength

It HAD to be the suit giving super strength, to explain how Cecilia overpowered Adrian in the end
