I just binge watched this on netflix. It was awesome. Best show I've seen in years along with the flash and izombie. It was nice to see a fantasy show that also had action and adventure unlike GOT which I'm a fan of but take long breaks between viewings because it gets boring.

I'm 25 so I could be biased but I liked the love story for once which usually I hate especially in comic movies where they really shove it in. But the show was very good. I was actually surprised to come on this forum and see all the hate. I never read the books though. Just saw them back in the day at the library.

Clearly you never read the books because they are so much better than this monstrosity. There are parts of it that are good but that is only because those are the parts where they stuck to the book. There are parts where its bad and thats where they didn't.

What parts are those? When Bremen looks like a biker?

When a species evolve faster than it takes an oven at the bottom of a lake to rust away?

When Wil and Amberle rides north, despite the west coast being on their right?

When the elves claim they have never been as far as the area the demons apear, despite the location being just a day or so away?

Alannon teleporting away after he gets stabbed by a sword. But in an earlier episode they have to carry him to the cave when he is injured.

Allanon being covered in snow when waking up in the cave. Despite the cave being sealed off and it is summer outside.

Yeah...the show is rotten from end to end.

I never seen GoT but I am told it is good. This I tried to like this show and gave the show the entire first season but it comes off as a Poor man's Lord of Rings.

I agree, GoT can tend to become a bit boring at times with a few bits of intense scenes per season.

This show I like very much, they really managed to blend fantasy and post apocalyptic genre in the books as well as the show.

PS: Don't mind the bash&troll-brigade trying to come down on the show.
