I like the movie. My family and I went to see it, and we really enjoyed it. The theater was packed, and from what I observed, the majority liked the movie.

even though I liked the movie, people are entitled to their opinions, if they didn't like it they didn't like it

I liked it, but I found it to be much more silly and stupid than Tyler Perry's other films, so I can see why people didn't like it

I liked it for the most part..but when I bought Tyler Perry's play "What's Done In The Dark" I was like..."hold up wasnt this whole subplot in meet the browns?"

In WDITD, Chandra Currelley played a character named Brenda , who was a hard working single mother of 1. Her son Calvin was a star basketball player, and he's tired of seeing his mother struggle to make ends meet so he wants to help. Brenda had been out of work for some , and landed a job as a receptionist at the county hospital. She needed some help to pay some of her bills so she asks her son's father Calvin Sr. who like in the movie, wasn't a part of his life. Also like the movie he made "$25 an hour" lol. Finally, Calvin Jr. hears his father telling his mother that he never wanted him and how he gave her $300 to get an abortion, so he goes out and (you guessed it) sells some drugs and gets shot!! And you can pretty much guess what else happens, b/c the same plot in the movie happened in the play as well, all except Brenda falling in love lol .

I like Tyler Perry's stuff. I think he's very talented and I've liked all his plays, and his movies too---but! I think he needs to stop "recycling plots". The people who watched his plays are going out to see his movies and watch his tv show and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who recognizes how he is using some of the same lines from his plays in his movies or on House of Payne.

I agree. I also really liked this movie. David Mann made the movie with his hilarious portrayal of LeRoy Brown. Tyler Perry was good as always in his hysterical, albeit brief, appearance as Medea/Joe. If the movie would have received better reception, I also would have put Oscar consideration for Best Actress (Angela Bassett), Best Supporting Actor (Rick Fox), and Best Adapted Screenplay (Tyler Perry). 10/10. One of my favorite movies of the year so far.

Precisely. I enjoyed this movie. My family and I laughed at the hysterical segments in the movie. My mom mearly cried at the end when there was a marriage at the end. I LOVED THIS MOVIE. Tyler Perry shouldn't have gotten a low rating on this. My favorite part was at the end with the credits.

THIS IS YOUR GRAND-DADDY!!

Ha-ha! And then his wig on his head was moving so hystericaly as well.
