I'm watching this right now for the first time.

Trying to process Angela Basset pushing 50 when she shot this, looking 30 something, having a high school age son and the old neighbor daycare woman calling her a 'young mother'...

Just how old is Brenda suppose to be?

Don't know. I do know Angela Bassett is drop dead gorgeous. Lots of great looking people in this film. If it wasn't quite so over the top at times it would have been better. But I liked it okay watching it on TV.
